As July moves closer and closer the pessimist in me thinks that summer is already ending. That is not quite true, is it? While technically the days are getting shorter and the nights longer, the warmest weather is still ahead of us. My wishlist for July is inspired by the idea of tuning in and settling down. I’m past all that frantic sale shopping, the sunscreens and straw hats and just want to enjoy every day to the fullest. What are your plans for the upcoming month?

There’s one particular high street brand the fashion crowd has been going crazy for in the past few years. I’m taking about Uterqüe, the label that started as an accessories brand and only then expanded into ready-to-wear. Perhaps that’s the reason why their accessories are so exquisite and fashion forward. I feel like I’m in a floral dress rut. Every model I see is somewhat similar to the next one and there’s really no excitement. Then I stumbled upon this Floral midi dress (64,00€) from Topshop. As someone who has worn the same perfume for the past 14 years I know how hard it is to even look elsewhere. It wasn’t until a year or two ago when natural perfumes hit the market that I got a little interested. Still, the prices for high quality natural fragrances that actually last are quite high so they’ve stayed on the shelf for now. However, my newest encounter has a relatively small price tag: 100 Bon, the first French perfume house with 100% natural fragrances and an emphasis on organic ingredients and sustainable agriculture. Carvi and Jardin de Figuier edp (39,00€) is a delicate combination of ripe mandarin and blood orange upon rose, white cedar and caraway. My beloved perfume has finally gotten a serious competitor.

Kuitenkin jo yksi suihkaus sai minut vakavasti miettimään vanhan tuoksuni heivaamista. Luottotuoksu on siis vihdoin saanut varteenotettavan kilpailijan.
