Ah, the wedding dress. Almost every bride is ready to invest more money in a dress that they’ll wear only once than in their whole daily workwear wardrobe. To me though, several thousand euros is quite a lot to spend on a piece of clothing that will spend most of its time hanging in a rack in your basement. While one option to save money is to get your dress custom made that means you need to know what kind on fabrics will work with the dress shape AND keep you in your budget, and also know where to buy them to avoid extra costs.

If you want to go the easy way though, there are quite a few brands boasting an affordable wedding line. Especially boho brides will have a wide selection of beautiful dresses to choose from. I’m going to showcase four online stores that offer wedding dresses for under 200€.

FIN: Ah, hääpuku! Lähes jokainen morsian on valmis sijoittamaan hääpukuunsa enemmän kuin koko työvaatearsenaaliinsa yhteensä. Silti minusta on järjetöntä satsata useita tuhansia euroja pukuun, joka sen yhden päivän jälkeen päätyy vain vuosikausiksi varastoon pölyttymään. Yksi vaihtoehto on teettää oma pukunsa ompelijalla, mutta työn hinnasta on tällöin hyvä keskustella etukäteen. Lisäksi kangasvalinnoilla on suuri merkitys lopulliseen hintaan, ja onkin hyvä tietää mistä kankaat kannattaa hankkia.

Jos kaipaat helpompaa ratkaisua pukudilemmaan, niin useat nettikaupat ja ketjuliikkeet ovat tuoneet markkinoille myös edullisia hääpukuja. Erityisesti boho-tyylisille morsiamille valinnanvaraa riittää. Olen koonnut tähän neljä nettikauppaa, josta upea puku löytyy alle 200 eurolla.

Boohoo

Boohoo is my go-to place for affordable fashion. Because of the materials tend to be from the cheaper end, some pieces may look a bit shabby but their Boohoo Boutique line is something to look at. The simple yet pretty designs come in different lengths and the best part: most of them are even under 100€! Standard European and international delivery is 6€ and UK residents can return unwanted items for free. The rest of us have to pay for the postage.

FIN: Boohoo on arkivaatetuksessa todellinen edullisen muodin mekka. Edulliset hinnat tarkoittavat välillä huonompaa laatua, mutta edullista pukua etsivän morsiamen kannattaa ehdottomasti tsekata laadukkaampi Boutique-mallisto. Yksinkertaiset ja kauniit puvut ovat kaikki alle 100€, jolloin rahaa jää käytettäväksi muuhun. Postikulut Eurooppaan ovat 6€, ja mahdolliset palautuskulutkin jäävät ostajan vastuulle.

ASOS WEDDING

My other online favourite ASOS has their designated bridal shop to cater for trendy brides with a limited budget. Even petite or curvier girls can find their fit and the prices are all below 400€. They also have all kinds of wedding accessories from veils to headbands, from jewelry to shoes and bridesmaid dresses. Asos has created free delivery AND returns system via your local post office, which is a huge bonus when buying a wedding dress online. You can even order your fiancé’s suit or tuxedo at the same time. How convenient!

FIN: Online-suosikkini Asoksen hääosasto on todellinen yhden pysähdyksen taktiikka tulevalle morsiamelle. Hääpuvun lisäksi sieltä löytyvät hunnut, tiarat, sukkanauhat, alusasut, korut, kengät ja morsiusneitojen vaatteet. Kaikki hääpuvut ovat alle 400€, ja mikä parasta, Asoksella sekä toimitus että palautus ovat ilmaisia. Samalla voit tilata puvun myös sulhaselle.

Missguided

I’m pretty impressed with Missguided’s premium collection. Bridal dresses are very much fashion forward and the prices stay between 120€ and 300€. The standard EU shipping is 5€, however, the returns must be paid by the customer.

FIN: Olen hyvin vaikuttunut Missguidedin premium-mallistosta. Linjakkaat ja tyylikkäät hääpuvut ovat edullisia (120-330€), ja varmasti monen trendikkään citymorsiamen valinta. EU:n sisällä toimituskulut ovat 5€, ja palautuksesta ostaja joutuu myös vastaamaan itse.

Next & Lipsy

Who said that the wedding dress has to come from a bridal line? Next offers a wide range of occasion wear from Lipsy, Coast, Hope & Ivy and many others. Lipsy’s bridal dresses start from as low as 58€ and even the most expensive one (226€) are affordable compared to many competitors. Next’s delivery is free for orders over 25€ but in case of returns, postage must be paid by the customer.

FIN: Kuka sanoi, että hääpuvun tulee olla häämallistosta? Next myy usean eri ketjun juhlamekkoja, jotka soveltuvat erinomaisesti hääpuvuksi, sekä lisäksi myös Lipsyn häämallistoa, jonka puvut ovat hämmästyttävän edullisia (58-226€). Nextillä toimitus on ilmainen yli 25€ tilauksille, mutta palautuskuluista ostaja joutuu vastaamaan itse.
