Finding a reasonably priced hotel in a big city can be challenging and while I’m all thumbs up for AirBnB, sometimes you just want your holiday to be as effortless as possible. These small boutique hotels offer the best of both worlds: a little bit of luxury without breaking the bank.

FIN: Edullisen ja tyylikkään hotellin löytäminen saattaa olla hankalaa. Vaikka olenkin suuri AirBnB:n kannattaja, joskus matkalla on mukava nauttia hotellin ylellisyydestä ja helppoudesta. Nämä kolme boutique-hotellia tarjoavat vastinetta rahoillesi.

Riad Yasmine – Marrakech

The dream-like Riad Yasmine has only seven rooms, all decorated in a different way. Visitors can sip their complimentary Moroccan mint tea on the roof terrace or relax in the gorgeous courtyard pool. The room prices start from 90€ per night with breakfast included. There’s even a traditional Moroccan restaurant that adapts to different dietary restrictions and allergies. Free WiFi is available in every room.

FIN: Marrakechin unelmahotelli Riad Yasminessa on vain seitsemän huonetta, ja kukin niistä sisustettu eri tavoin. Hotellivieraat voivat nauttia marokkolaista minttuteetä kattoterassilla tai rentoutua sisäpihan upealla allasalueella. Too Cute 2b str8 – Milan

Situated in Città Studi district near Lambrate station Too Cute 2b str8 also has only seven beautifully decorated rooms, both singles and doubles, and some of them even come with a private terrace. There’s a stylish communal lounge area for visitors to meet and greet, complimentary coffee, tea and snacks, and free WiFi. Double rooms start from 80€ per night with breakfast included. As the name refers, this “straight-friendly gaysthouse” has an anti-discrimination policy and it welcomes every traveller with a smile, no matter their sexual orientation.

FIN: Myös Milanossa Cittá Studin alueella, lähellä Lambraten rautatieasemaa sijaitsevassa Too Cute 2b str8 -hotellissa on vain seitsemän huonetta. Yhden tai kahden hengen huoneet ovat tyylikkään yksinkertaisesti sisustettuja, ja joissakin on jopa oma terassi. Yleisessä loungessa hotellivieraat voivat rentoutua ja tutustua toisiinsa, ja hotelli tarjoaakin vuorokauden ympäri ilmaisia virvokkeita sekä WiFi-yhteyden. Hotelli nimittää itseään heteroystävälliseksi gaysthouseksi, eli se toivottaa hymyillen tervetulleeksi kaikki matkaajat, seksuaaliseen suuntautumiseen katsomatta. Hotel Paradis – Paris

It’s hard to find a decent hotel with a decent price in Paris but Hotel Paradis seems to tick both boxes. Situated conveniently 850m from Gare Du Nord in 10th arrondissement this former fur shop is now a 38-room boutique hotel. Each room is equipped with complimentary Malin + Goetz bathroom products and free WiFi. The continental breakfast with gluten free options available costs 12€ but there are numerous cafes and bistros in the area. Double room prices start from 96€ per night.

FIN: Pariisista on vaikea löytää siistiä ja tyylikästä hotellia edulliseen hintaan, mutta Hotel Paradis näyttää onnistuneen siinä. Sopivasti Gare Du Nordin aseman lähellä sijaitsevassa hotellissa on 38 huonetta, joissa ilmainen WiFi-yhteys sekä pienenä luksuksena Malin + Goetzin kylpytuotteet. Aamiainen on mahdollista ostaa erikseen 12€ hintaan ja myös gluteenittomat ruokailijat on huomioitu. Kahden hengen huone alkaen 96€/yö.
